Wavefold Texture
Wavefold Texture
Very slow LFO rates create gradual timbral evolution. Try holding a single note and listening to the texture develop over 10-20 seconds. The VCO B sine cross-modulation adds harmonic complexity that shifts with pitch -- play different notes to hear how the texture character changes across the keyboard.
Notes
This texture patch combines two modulation sources on the Wave Folder: LFO X provides slow, sweeping changes to fold depth, while VCO B's sine wave adds audio-rate modulation that creates sideband-like harmonics (both sum at FOLD MOD IN). VCO A's triangle wave is the ideal input for wave folding -- its smooth shape produces clean, predictable folds compared to saw or pulse waves. The LP2 filter gently tames the highest harmonics generated by the folding process without removing the character. The pitch drift from LFO Y on VCO A adds organic instability that prevents the texture from sounding static.
