Playing Tips

The mod wheel IS the performance control -- at zero the sound is dark and subdued, pushed up it becomes bright, singing, and resonant. Velocity also opens the filter (Velocity = 45). Apply aftertouch for vibrato. This lead responds to your playing style more than any other patch.

Technique Notes

This is the classic subtractive lead approach: two detuned analog saws (Fine +5) with a digital layer (Osc 3 Shape 3) for shimmer, sculpted by a resonant filter. The mod wheel opens the filter dramatically (Amount 70), transforming the sound from dark and muted to bright and singing. Osc Slop at 3 adds vintage analog drift. The subtle delay adds space without cluttering the sound. The key to this patch is the mod wheel -- it should be constantly in motion during performance.
