Sub Bass
Sub Bass
Playing Tips
Play in the C1-C3 range for the deepest, roundest tone. Keep velocity consistent -- this patch is about steady low-end presence, not dynamic expression. Works best as a single-note foundation under other sounds.

Technique Notes
Sub bass uses a nearly closed filter (LPF 35) to remove upper harmonics, leaving only the fundamental. The very slight detuning between Osc 1 and Osc 2 (Fine +2) adds subtle width without muddying the low end. Mono output is essential for mix compatibility -- bass should always be centered. Key Amount at 72 ensures the filter tracks the keyboard so higher notes remain audible.
