Basic Project
Basic Project
Session: 01 | Bank: A | Type: reference
Description
A clean project with Track 1 holding a single drum loop on a Flex machine -- the known starting state you return to before every session. Think of it as the Octatrack equivalent of zeroing out a synth: no leftover samples, no effects, no scene assignments, just a blank canvas with one sound loaded so you can hear changes immediately.

|---|---|---|
| A01 | 1 | Single trig on step 1 -- basic-loop fires once per bar |
Scene Notes
- Scene A: Default (no parameter locks assigned)
- Scene B: Unassigned
No crossfader movement will change anything -- scenes are blank. This is intentional: you add scene assignments as you learn them in Module 7.
Performance Tips
- Load your own sample onto Track 1 via the Quick Assign menu (turn Data Entry knob A on the SRC page)
- Place additional trigs in Grid Recording mode to build a simple pattern
- Use [FUNC] + [CUE] to reload the Part and snap back to this clean state after experimenting
- Save the project frequently with [FUNC] + [PROJ] so your basic state is always one reload away
